Country School Celebrates Centennial
The centennial weekend celebration was, by all accounts, spectacular! We welcomed over a thousand members of our extended community back to campus for An Evening to Honor, Homecoming & Fall Fest and, the culminating event, An Evening to Remember. I loved seeing former Heads of School Nick Thacher, Tim Bazemore and Peter O’Neill, meeting so many of the people who shaped and guided our school over the past century, and learning about them in the film presentation shown Saturday evening. Please join me in thanking all of the volunteers for their countless hours of hard work, the many donors whose generosity made the event possible, to all of our faculty & staff who, for 100 years, have challenged our students to stretch and to our founding families whose vision in 1916 created the school we know today.
The entire Centennial year has provided us with a wonderful and unique opportunity to reflect and reconnect. I hope that you will continue to join us as, together, we envision the next century for our extraordinary school.
Sincerely,
Head of School Robert P. Macrae
